About Canyon Creek Soap Company
Canyon Creek Soap Company is owned and operated by Paula Davis (me).  My husband and I make our home in Amarillo, Texas, just north of Canyon near beautiful Palo Duro Canyon.  This is in the heart of the Texas Panhandle, a high plains area known for cowboys, tall grasses, grazing cattle and big sky as far as the eye can see.  But there are other hidden treasures here if one is willing to look close enough.  The Canyon is a favorite place for my family and one of the inspirations for my company name.

July 1, 2005 brought an exciting new direction for Canyon Creek Soap Company.  Our new storefront opened at 2312 4th Avenue, Canyon.  July 1, 2006 brought our relocation to our new storefront at 416 Fifteenth Street, Canyon, Texas -- between Gambles Frame & Art  and the old Dollar General Store, on Canyon's Historic Square.  We did just close that store so we can focus entirely on our online business, our wholesale business and bringing the next stage of our goals to fruition.  Canyon Creek Soap Company has moved all its retail product line in Canyon to HR's Flowers.  2010 Fourth Avenue.  She has a fabulous florist shop, with great customer service and a very nice selection of gift items for your shopping convenience.

For a wonderful time with hometown people, we hope you'll shop this lovely town of Canyon.  Let me tell you a little more about it.  In the near future, our Historic Courthouse will be renovated and restored and a beautiful walking park will be put in around it to completely revive our beautiful downtown Canyon.  This is a wonderful area for shopping in small gift stores, clothing shops, Hallmark store and the Texas Gift Store.  There's the Canyon Clay Company where you can browse and look at the work of various artists or have a custom framing job done, a fabulous bakery The Cake Company, the local Canyon Newspaper office and the Chamber of Commerce as well as Morning Glory Tea Room, Custom ThreadsJ Bar S Rustic Furniture, a Diner and a Soda Shoppe!  One block off the square, you'll find Feldman's Wrong Way Diner where you'll be greeted with a smile and served some seriously good grub.  Come stroll around the square and enjoy small town life with friendly folks of Canyon.  We're only one mile from West Texas A&M University and the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, the largest history museum in Texas.  You can also play golf at the City's course, Palo Duro Creek Golf Club.

As the owner of Canyon Creek Soap Company, I bring my love and enjoyment of people, affection for all things handmade and an addiction to handmade soap!  Using handmade soap was a pleasure from the first moment I tried it.  After a good friend shared the process and took me through the steps, I was hooked - absolutely addicted.

The process of making cold process handmade soap brings together so many of the things I enjoy in life.  Natural ingredients are harvested from God's beautiful creation.  Essential and fragrance oils lift my spirits or calm my mood, depending on the one used.  Each time I create a new recipe, the part of me that loves cooking comes to life.  I get instant gratification from seeing my recipe go from a plan on paper to a soap in a few hours.  I get to hover and enjoy the scent even during the 4-6 week curing process until the soap is ready to be used or sold.

My handmade soaps are all vegetable based.  No animal fats are used and no animal testing is done.  My products are all tested by me and my family before they are ever offered for sale to others.  All products on this site are made completely from scratch.  I do not purchase any pre-made bases, but begin each bar of soap, each batch of lotion or lip balm using ingredients mixed together using my own recipes.  Each recipe is my own that I have crafted from experimenting with a variety of oils, butters and waxes to bring you a truly wonderful bar of soap.  I don't just use "one tried and true" recipe but offer several  blends, each offering its own benefits to your skin.  I work hard to insure our products are top quality, handmade soaps and bath products.  I shop carefully and use natural skin-nourishing ingredients.  I use goat's milk and beeswax in some of my recipes.  Many of my recipes include only all-natural ingredients, including essential oils for scent and have no added pigment.  Others do include fragrance oils and pigments so there is a variety to choose from to please every taste.  I also keep one blend that is unscented and with no pigment for those who have sensitivities to fragrance or colorants.  I carefully note which soaps have which so you can choose which best fits your needs or desires.

I hope you will spend time perusing this site . . . or visiting the shops in beautiful Canyon, Texas . . . and find the products that are just right for you.  Indulge yourself!  And don't forget handmade soap make very thoughtful gifts for those you care about most.  Great products, made by great people in the great state of Texas!
